Beginner’s Short Course in Islamic Calligraphy
This course introduces students to the methods and materials used in traditional Islamic calligraphy. Students will learn how to prepare their own pen and paper. They will then experience writing the Arabic alphabet and explore the letter's underlying proportions. The course includes studying the different applications of calligraphy in the arts and crafts of the Islamic world.
